The Brief Volume 2

In the Summer Recap edition of THE BRIEF, join us as we review the positive events DA Howard made possible during Summer 2023. Three important initiatives–R.I.S.E., the Junior Justice League, and Camp HOPE of Middle Georgia–were highlighted for helping the youth in Macon Judicial Circuit. These initiatives have received significant support, including a $240,000 congressional grant for R.I.S.E. to provide resources like counseling and tutoring for young people in three Circuit counties.

Camp HOPE of Middle Georgia gave a special camp experience to 30 children, offering a break from daily challenges and helpful activities. The Junior Justice League’s Project EPIC (Empowered Peacemakers Inspiring Change) reached 50 children, encouraging them to make positive changes in their communities. These efforts show meaningful investments in the lives of future leaders, improving safety, education, and community bonds, demonstrating how compassion, leadership, and resources can make a big difference. The newsletter also talks about the importance of indictments, briefly explaining their history and how grand juries ensure fairness in the legal system.
