In the July 2023 edition of “THE BRIEF,” the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office highlights the Third Annual Changing the Face of Justice Day, celebrating District Attorney Howard’s innovations in prosecution, public safety, and youth outreach. The day included a breakfast, community briefing, and ribbon cuttings for The Desk, a new record restriction portal, and R.I.S.E. satellite offices.
The newsletter also covers the conviction of Caesar Crockett for the 2020 murder of three family members, kidnapping, and other charges. Crockett received multiple life sentences without parole. Additionally, the publication provides information on bonds, their purpose in the judicial system, and factors influencing their cost.
