Reclaim the Light

Domestic Violence Awareness Symposium

The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office is presenting “Reclaim the Light: Domestic Violence Awareness Symposium,” a powerful gathering aimed at identifying, preventing, and healing from domestic violence in Central Georgia. As both your District Attorney and a resident of our community, I strongly believe it is not enough to prosecute cases of domestic violence after-the-fact. It is also our responsibility to educate and to shed light on abusive behaviors in an effort to stop the violence before it has the chance to start.

Join me on Tuesday, October 24th at 10:00 AM at Wesleyan College’s Oval Hall, where we will gather to learn, grow, and take action. This symposium will serve as a platform for engaging discussions, informative sessions, and inspiring stories that will empower us all to make a difference.

Our lineup of speakers includes renowned experts in the field, survivors who have triumphed over adversity, and community leaders who are passionate about eradicating domestic violence. Through engaging storytelling and thought-provoking presentations, we will delve into the multifaceted aspects of this issue, equipping ourselves with the tools to make a lasting impact.

I encourage you to mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 24th at 10:00 AM and secure your spot at this transformative event. Admission is free, but space is limited, so be sure to RSVP by visiting our website https://reclaimthelight.eventbrite.com/.

Together, we can reclaim the light and make Central Georgia a place where domestic violence is not tolerated, but confronted head-on. We look forward to seeing you at the “Reclaim the Light: Domestic Violence Awareness Symposium.” Let us all be catalysts for change!
