Symposiums
District Attorney Anita Howard is committed to Education and Awareness of key safety issues in the Macon Judicial Circuit. As a part of this commitment, her office has partnered with local organizations to host symposiums to engage and enable community members to act on these troubling trends. As DA Howard often quotes: “When we know better, we do better.”
Human Trafficking
A Season of Change was DA Howard’s 2023 Human Trafficking Awareness Symposium, with Out of Darkness Middle Georgia. Hosted at Mercer University, our first symposium was a powerful reminder of the darkness in the world and how we can bridge the gap for those living in pain and fear.
Domestic Violence
Reclaim the Light was DA Howard’s 2023 Domestic Violence Awareness Symposium. Hosted at Wesleyan College during National Domestic Violence Awareness month, experts from Central Georgia, survivors of Domestic Violence, and representatives from the Macon Judicial Circuit provided insight, inspiration, and encouragement on how we as a community can best protect the most vulnerable around us.
