The Grand Jury met on August 22, 2023 and considered 71 cases, including: 1 murder case, 1 vehicular homicide case, 1 serious injury by vehicle case, 14 cases involving aggravated assault, 1 terroristic threats case, 1 felony battery case, 2 arson cases, 11 cases of burglary (residential/commercial), 3 armed robbery/robbery cases, 9 cases involving property damage, 7 cases of fleeing and eluding police, 1 case of failure to register as a sex offender, 2 cases of inmates possessing illegal items, 1 case of illegal possession of firearm, 1 felony DUI case, 1 dog fighting case, 12 cases involving violations of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act and 2 cases involving officers violating their oaths of office.
