In keeping with my prior statement of apprising the public of this issue, the ongoing investigation of the Macon Water Authority by the Grand Jury of Bibb County which began on November 21, 2022 was stayed by the Court at a hearing held this morning.

The Grand Jury met Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and considered 58 cases.

Three days before his jury trial was set to begin in Bibb Superior Court, Dontize Hughes pled guilty to Aggravated Assault and Kidnapping for a violent attack on his wife on June 15, 2020.
