Prior to trial, Demetrius Grant Williams pled guilty to Aggravated Assault and Robbery by Force. On October 5, 2020, Williams forced his way into a local hotel room where the victim was staying while working in Macon. Williams produced a firearm, and a struggle ensued as he pistol whipped the victim, causing the firearm to discharge and graze the victim’s head. Before leaving, Williams grabbed the victim’s money from the nightstand. Williams was sentenced to twenty years, with the first ten to be served in prison.
