Michael Lipford Trial Continued in Peach County

Following three days of contentious motions and jury selection in the Peach County case of State v. Michael Ryan Lipford (20-CR-206)  and just before opening statements were to be given by the parties, this case was unexpectedly continued by the Court.  Lipford is charged with Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault Family Violence, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Cruelty to Children (3rd Degree) from an incident that occurred in May 2020. All law enforcement and witnesses who were subpoenaed on behalf of the State for this trial are hereby released from their subpoenas at this time. We will update all with the new trial week when determined by the Court.
