September 22, 2023 — Bibb County, Georgia. Convicted murderer Keith Beddingfield Jr., 30, was charged Thursday in connection with the murder of Pinal Kumar Patel and the shooting of two others in January 2023. Beddingfield is currently serving a life sentence in the Georgia Department of Corrections for the murder of Javaris Antoine Brown in February 2018. A Bibb County jury convicted him of that murder in February 2020.

Beddingfield, who was in prison at the time of Patel’s murder, was connected to the murder of Patel through two other associates who have already been charged.

“Public safety is my number one priority,” said Anita Howard, Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney. “Regardless of where you rest your head at night, whether in prison or in your home, if we have evidence that you are involved in a murder, you will be held accountable.”
