Drug Trafficker Given Jail Sentence in Peach County

Peach County, Georgia—Clinton Mitchell, Jr., 37, recently pled guilty to Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon in Peach Superior Court.  A large amount of methamphetamine was located in Mitchell’s residence on Walden Street in Fort Valley when the Peach County Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant there on May 11, 2023.  Upon hearing the officers, Mitchell initially tried to flush the drugs in the toilet, but was not successful in his efforts.  Mitchell was sentenced to 30 years, with the first 10 to be served in prison.
