Crawford County Man Receives 38-Year Prison Sentence for Betraying Family’s Trust and Molesting Two Young Girls

A predator who exploited his position as a trusted caretaker learned his fate Friday when he was sentenced to nearly four decades behind bars for molesting two young sisters in their own home.

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, a Crawford County jury found Jordan Lee Hambrick, 31, guilty of two counts of Child Molestation for his 2021 actions against two daughters of his then-girlfriend.

The evidence presented to the jury by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Taylor Wilson and Assistant District Attorney Lauren Brock showed that between August 17, 2021, and September 23, 2021, Hambrick moved into the girls’ home and assumed a caretaker role. In the 37 days he resided there, he showed his genitals to the 6-year-old victim multiple times and touched the 4-year-old in her vaginal area during what should have been an innocent game of hide and seek.

These incidents came to light after Hambrick stole hundreds of dollars from the children’s mother and abruptly fled the home. The jury heard testimony from the victims, their mother, and their older sister about their experiences while Hambrick lived in the home. Law enforcement from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation outlined their thorough investigation into the allegations, and experts from the Crescent House testified about their forensic interviews with the children.

On Friday, October 31, 2025, the court followed the state’s recommendation and sentenced Hambrick to 40 years with the first 38 years to serve in the Georgia Department of Corrections.

“This sentence ensures that a dangerous predator will spend decades away from the children of our community,” said District Attorney Anita Howard. “We commend the bravery of these young survivors and their family for coming forward, and we thank the jury for holding this defendant accountable for his heinous crimes.”
