The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office announced today that Deandre Williams, a career cocaine dealer with a criminal history spanning more than two decades, has been sentenced to 20 years, with 10 years to be served in the Georgia Department of Corrections. The remaining 10 years will be served on probation.
The sentence follows Williams’ guilty plea on May 13, 2026, to one count of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and two counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. The case had been scheduled for trial during the week of May 11, 2026, but Williams admitted guilt before the trial began Williams’ drug dealing history in Bibb County dates back to the early 2000s, demonstrating a long-standing pattern of drug trafficking in the community.
On March 2, 2022, investigators executed a search warrant at Williams’ personal residence after recovering evidence that he was continuing to sell cocaine to the community. The search revealed approximately seven grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, an AR-style firearm, and a Glock-style firearm. Williams was arrested at the scene.
“Deandre Williams had every opportunity to choose a different path,” said District Attorney Anita Howard. “Instead, Mr. Williams chose again and again to poison our community with cocaine.
This sentence sends a clear message that this community will not tolerate career drug dealers who arm themselves and continue peddling destruction to our neighbors. My office remains steadfast in our commitment to pursuing justice and building a safer community for every resident of the Macon Judicial Circuit.”
The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office extends its sincere gratitude to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and particularly to Investigator Alex Fletcher, whose investigative work was instrumental in building the case against Williams.
