Frankie Lee Williams, 74, pleaded guilty on September 14, 2026, to one count of Child Molestation in Bibb County Superior Court and was sentenced to 20 years, with the first 10 to serve in the Georgia Department of Corrections.

The victim, now an adult, came forward to law enforcement in November 2022 and reported that Williams, whom she knew as her step-grandfather, sexually abused her approximately 14 years earlier, when she was six years old. When the victim disclosed the abuse to her grandmother, her grandmother confronted Williams. In a subsequent interview with investigators, Williams admitted to the conduct.

“It takes real courage to come forward about abuse that happened years ago, especially by someone you once trusted as family,” said Anita Howard, District Attorney for the Macon Judicial Circuit. “This survivor found that courage, and her family stood by her through the entire case. We’re grateful to all of them.”

The case was prosecuted by the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, led by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Taylor Wilson.
