A Measure of Justice for Child Victim

by | Aug 31, 2023 | Conviction Alert, news

Peach County, Georgia–Timothy Reeves, 38, recently pled Guilty to two counts of Child Molestation in Peach Superior Court.  This incident occurred on May 3, 2020, in Fort Valley when Reeves forced his then 9 year old victim to touch his genitals, and he then touched her private areas.  The child almost immediately made her initial outcry to her mother, who called law enforcement.  Reeves’ arrest followed shortly thereafter.  For these actions he received a 15 year sentence, with the first 10 years to be served in prison.  Upon release, he will be subject to sex offender conditions and lifetime sex offender registry requirements.

“I am thankful that our Peach County prosecution team was able to bring a measure of justice for this young victim and her family.  The emotional toll is high in such cases, and we are very proud of this child for her bravery in coming forward to tell her truth in this difficult situation.”  District Attorney Anita Howard

The Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office is particularly thankful for the diligent work of the Fort Valley Police Department on this case.  In addition, we also commend the work of our forensic interviewers at the Crescent House who are essential in helping to give a voice to our child victims.
