DA Howard Announces 2024 Focus: #HowardEncouragingAction

by | Jan 1, 2024 | news

Each year, DA Howard selects a hashtag that symbolizes the collective effort needed to enhance our community and make it a better and safer place.
In 2021, we celebrated #ChangingTheFaceOfJustice, with DA Howard’s first year as the first female, African-American District Attorney of the Macon Judicial Circuit. In 2022, we gathered #CourageToChangeTheCulture, highlighting our collective need to band together and create the world we want to live in. 2023 proclaimed #HowardHarvestingHope as we continued the work of restoration and justice in the Central Georgia area.

This year, our chosen pair of hashtags, #HowardEncouragingAction and #DoSomething were inspired from the profound words of Kamala Harris:
“The true measure of the strength of character of a leader is to have some level of curiosity, concern, and care for the suffering of other people. And then to do something about it.”
With this powerful message in mind, DA Howard invites you to join her in the movement for positive change, which relies on more than words: it requires positive action. For 2024, we invite you to share in our work as leaders alongside DA Anita Howard by using the hashtags #HowardEncouragingAction and #DoSomething.

Let’s make our world a better place, one act at a time.
